Child Protection Orders

When Child Safety Services (CSS) is concerned your child is unsafe with you, they may seek help from a Court to keep the child safe. When CSS considers a child is in need of protection it may work with the Director of Child Protection Litigation to apply for a Child Protection Order.

A Child Protection Order is a direction from a Court requiring or authorising someone to do or not do something, such as giving CSS the custody or guardianship of a child and authority to place a child in out-of-home care. If the Court notes the child may require protection, they can make an Order that provides what should happen. Read more here the “child custody lawyers in Gold Coast“.
